Resource licensing guide

Check the licence on each resource before copying, adapting, sharing, or using it commercially.

The listing licence matters

A resource’s stated licence governs use of that resource. Free access does not automatically mean unrestricted redistribution. Preserve creator attribution, licence notices, and third-party rights where required. Ask the creator or contact support if permissions are unclear.

YourPrompt starter templates

Original YourPrompt starter templates marked CC BY are offered under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International. Credit YourPrompt.in, link to the original listing and the licence at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/, and indicate changes. The licence allows adaptation and commercial use subject to its conditions.

Other licence labels

CC BY-NC restricts commercial use; check the version and full licence supplied with the resource. MIT and Apache-2.0 resources require the relevant notices and other licence conditions. Personal use and all-rights-reserved resources require explicit permission for uses beyond the creator’s grant. A label is a summary, not a substitute for the full licence text.

AI outputs and third-party material

A prompt licence does not guarantee ownership or exclusivity of generated output. Provider terms and the rights in your inputs and outputs still apply. Do not submit copied social posts, paid prompts, images, or documents without permission.

Creator rights and reports

Creators retain rights in their original work and authorise hosting and display through submission. To report unauthorised material, email hello@yourprompt.in with the listing URL, original source, the rights you hold, and a way to contact you. We may request supporting information and contact the uploader.
